New 15 inch locos soon...
Hi
BucksTS are proud to announce a new freeware 15 inch diesel is almost complete.
'Woodbine' is a small 4 wheel diesel with basic textures thanks to MuzTrem. It is anticipated that a further release will follow shortly with high-detail textures, but for the time being it is all nice and simple. The .zip file is a very small 66KB!
3D modelling is by myself (thanks to NVincer for sorting a problem!) - and this is BucksTS's first freeware item of stock.
It is anticipated that more will follow soon, including a county donegal style railcar (now under construction), so just wait and see! Any ideas please PM me - only diesels at the moment as I'm spending allot of time on Groudle
Thanks

Thanks Ben
The CDR Railcar will, of course, be out of scale for 3 foot. This is because in 15inch the people are the same size as 3ft - so the vertical axes will be stretched.
I'll tell you what - if MuzTrem will volunteer to texture I'll knock together a truescale one, and one multiplied by 1.57 so it fits 2x scale 2foot track - how does that sound?

Great - I have drawings so I'll get started tomorrow (out most of today). DO you want an interior or not? If so Murray do you want me to leave 'window holes' or will you alpha it out?
The railcar will be the 'conventional' style (not 19/20)

The 15inch version (much beefed up to make it suitable with 15inch stock) is now complete and about to be tested.

I've just built the 15inch railcar - taking 48 minutes to fully complete (I'm pretty proud of that!)
It's semi-open sided, with a bench seat at the rear of the vehicle, 2 individual seats and the drivers seats (drivers control panel built up too).
The only door is simply an opening on one side of the vehicle only.
The railcar is built to 15" proportions, meaning it would look stupid on even on truescale (the height is designed for 6ft people to just about stand up).
It is a 4-wheeled railcar
I've textured it using much-modified 'Woodbine' textures (assuming urray doesn't mind); the livery being crimson & cream
I'll post up screenies this evening once it's in MSTS.
I hope to have it available for download on the BucksTS site by the end of this year!

Northern Chief, when I first attempted that took me eleven weeks (with breaks of course!!!!)JonPotter wrote:I've just built the 15inch railcar - taking 48 minutes to fully complete (I'm pretty proud of that!)
Wasn't there a similar 3ft one for trainz?JonPotter wrote:It's semi-open sided, with a bench seat at the rear of the vehicle, 2 individual seats and the drivers seats (drivers control panel built up too)!
Sounds good - I was going to try a 15 inch railcar with a door which is animated - just for something different.JonPotter wrote:The only door is simply an opening on one side of the vehicle only.
