I have dowloaded this route and run the exe file, which has installed it, no problem.
I went into the AE to make an activity. Ok.
But the route will not load from the start screen, I just get Train Initalisation Failed.
This is usually caused because a bat file has not been run within the route folder, bu this route has no install me bat.
What is wrong? Has anyone else had trouble with this same route?

It won't start, because of the error. I have been into the route in the Route Editor, and it is a nice looking route, but it will not load for running, for some reason, because you get the message Train World Initionalisation Failed. As I previously stated, this usually happens if you don't run the Install Me Bat File from within the Route Folder, but thare isn't one for this route, as it doesn't use any files from the six default routes.

Hi Geoff

Already mentioned in this thread

Garthion wrote:I downloaded the route yesterday, and installed it today, and found the same problems as you, I then put it through Route Riter, and discovered the route has no track texture files :o
I copied the track textures from a route with X-Tracks UKNG on it and it now works,
Hope this helps,
Dale W
Cheers

Thank's for that :D It looks good from the RE though. I like the way you have incorporated the two reverse loops.

No, done everything you suggest, but still wont run. Even uninstalled it and reloaded, but still no joy.
I will wait until Dave uploads the patch.

Erm...may be asking a stupid qeustion here...but it's nothing to do with the textures.
Having had a day off school today due to the smoke cloud blowing over from Hemel Hempstead, I took advantage of the free time to download and install this route. However, once I'd installed it and sorted out the texture bug, it claimed it was missing some shape files and refused to load. I assumed this must be something to do with the fact that it required x-tracks, so I went back to UKTS and downloaded and installed the latest version. However, MSTS still resolutely assures me that it has "No extended shape data for DirtRoad2L05deg.s" and the route still won't load. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what caused this problem. Can anyone help me out?

I had the same problem, and found installing newroads did the trick. And yes, it's on UKTS.
