Whoops! I'll add that quickly before I send it. It is just a single white one isn't it?

what sort of train are you running? as there are many diffrent headcodes used on romney locos. Take this pictue of 14 at Dymchurch
http://www.jreeves3.photosite.com/June0 ... S_Dym.html
the headcode denotes a ECS train in this case the empty school train returing to New Romney on the down. here are a few more.
One disc at the top means the train is a normal stopping train
http://www.jreeves3.photosite.com/June0 ... illop.html
one disc bottom centre means light engine
http://www.jreeves3.photosite.com/June0 ... Table.html
two discs bottom left and right mean express/specail. one disc bottom left means P.Way(12 carries this one the most as it is used for the daily track patrol). Also I notice you have not included any roof detail but still an excellence first attempt.

Cheers for that. I might include several versions of the loco so that several different headcodes could be used!

A freight animation is a shape file which you add to your main file using code. Ever wondered why the drivers of Sutton Belle and Flyer never turned up in Shape viewer? It's because they are freight anims. Basically, create a shape file where the discs would be in the model.

actually, in thinking about it, wouldn't Alphas sort it out? Create the headcodes and make each one on a different section of texture, (therefore alpha) and then you can swap the ace files when you want a different headcode, and people can also make new ones!

I'll send you one over to your e-mail.

Hi Tom
Thanks for you ideas. I had a go with the alphas idea but the problem is the textures would have to have exactally the same filename. Then you may overwrite files and forget which one was which etc. It could get very confusing! :D :D (I think thats right anyway!)

Freight anims may also be a problem because I can never position extra things on the loco in the .eng file! (I may have another go at this once I have TSM 1.1 though)

Edit:// See bottom post

Cheers

That would be an awful lot of downloads for even a few of the headcodes (they would be John Southland to do as well...)

How about the same idea with the Alphas, but with the shape files? Similar to a loco I remember downloading which allowed you to have either a "Shiny" or "Dull" version.

Either way, I wouldn't get too worked up about it, though. Many of the locos on MSTS don't have headcodes, have only one type, or none!! ;)

Why not just leave it with one headcode ;)

Hi
This is my proposed "action plan"
I will send out the test copys of Captain Howey to all of the voulenteer testers tonight, without the headcodes.

Then I will upload the main loco if it is alright.

I will then work on trying to get headcodes to work as wagons that you can choose whichever set you like. (Like the headboards that have been uploaded to UKTS). This means that people can then use the headcodes on John Southland too!

Bubble :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

P.S I hope this works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
