True - if you remove the dots around the wheel, then it would not matter about animation. :wink:

The pic below shows how the bogies pretty much obscure the wheels anyway - I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The pic also suggests that the footrest bit - (I don't know the name) is thinner than shown, and the engine housing needs to be as tall as the cab - perhaps they needs to be tweaked? Hopefully it's not too difficult to adjust.

Still a good 1st model - keep up the good work! :D

Tom

PS - found this nice livery (as well as the other pic) on the RHDR site.

Cheers. I'll do those adjustments and I'll extend the bogies so that drivers can't see them! :o

Interior has already been mentioned, but as for the exterior, it looks to be a fairly simple job:

-Horn
-Buffer Detail
->Buffers
->Coupling
->Vacuum Brake Pipe thingy
- Rear Light - see pic
-Nameplate - can be included in texture

All easy to do. (hopefully!)

Keep it up, NVincer - nearly sorted!

Here are several of the improvements :wink:

<IMG width="720" height="540" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php/116072/CH.JPG">
The newly fitted 3D nameplate :roll:

<IMG width="720" height="540" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php/116072/CH (1).JPG">
The new bogies which cover up the wheels more and are more of a realistic shape! :roll:

<IMG width="720" height="540" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php/116072/CH (2).JPG">
The buffers and the moved number so that it is not obscured by the buffers! :roll:

<IMG width="720" height="540" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php/116072/CH (3).JPG">
And finally the back of the locomotive with light and new texture! :roll:

Also of note is the thickened base of the loco and the higher engine housing!

I will now get on with (trying!!!) to do the horn, coupling and re-texturing the back of the cab! :D

Any Comments?

Apart from aligning the textures and tweaking the front bit, you seem to have it all running fine! :D

The front footwell is about the same width as the engine cover, and on the model it is the same width as the cab. It needs to "loose weight!"

That's looking much better now. A couple of texturing issues, the rear whiskers don't line up with the bodyside stripe, and the nameplate seems a little too large, but I'm sure that can easily be fixed. Apart from that, superb, I really look forward to downloading this!

You are spot on, the cab end footwell is about the same width as the bonnet, other than that its looking good, i should know i have spent enough days sitting in both Captain Howey & John Southland

all we need now is a reskin as no.12, 11 steam loco's and 13 & 1/2 miles of track :lol:

Deep Vein Thrombosis - here we come!

I agree with your sig. Yet another person has started a thread on the RH&DR and "who will build it.." question posed. If it is too difficult for one person, could the job just be spread around? Get someone to DEM it, another to track lay, another for textures and scenery etc. Who will make the first step?

(May I point out that my attempts at a route two years ago resulted in a stretch of line 200yrds long, with a tractor, a station, a crash and a re-installation of MSTS... :evil: :evil: :evil: )

Anyone could do stock - once they see the route they'd jump at the chance! :wink:

Tom

EDIT - Can I apologise for the wandering post - Wishful thinking on my part

P.S did you forget the simplex, the scooter and redgauntlet!! :lol: :lol:

I was going to try and do a re-skin into John Southland once CH loco is finished. Which I suppose would only leave us with 11 steam locomotives!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

By the way here is the new fron of the locomotive and a new (Partly finished) rear of the cab:-

Obviously the transparencies aren't done yet but does anyone have any comments about this re-skin? :lol:
