With the main road in the background, No.6 rounds Amen Corner, above Winding House Curve, on its way down the mineral extension from Nant Gwernol with the afternoon down train.



On arrival at Abergynolwyn, 6 waits in the down platform for No.1 to pass with an up train. We see the arrival of the up train from the Drivers side of the engine.



Below Aber and 6 is seen above Ceunant Coch straight, just below the forestry commision boards.



This time rounding the bend onto Tan-y-Coed straight, with Tan-y-Coed Isaf farm out of sight on the opposite side of the valley. Tan-y-Coed is the bottom of the three straights between Quarry Siding and Abergynolwyn.





Two shots showing the crossing at Quarry Siding as No.4 Edward Thomas passes the down set with an up train headed for Nant Gwernol. We see the train coming over the crossing, and then departing, regulator wide open as No.4 lifts its train up the rising gradient.



With drain cocks open and two long blasts from its whistle, No.6 eases its set across Quarry Siding crossing, heading for Dolgoch Falls Station, the crew look out for farm tractors and enthusiasts, generally the only things to use the crossing.



The set is seen again, this time in Dolgoch Top Woods, above the new viewing platform, this winding section of line is quite demanding for the driver on down trains, but excellent for photographs.



Pulling into Dolgoch Falls, seen from the meadow opposite, passengers wait patiently for the train to come to a halt, having anjoyed a walk around the falls.



The last shot for now, No.6 runs over the viaduct on the 10mph limit heading now for the long stretch down to Brynglas.

Is this one of the activities I included?? If so, I'm glad the passing loops seem to be working OK. They were a lot of hassle getting the timings and pathing to work correctly.

Yup its one of the default activities you wrote. The passing loops are fine, as long as your running earlish or to time. Thought as No.6 in TTE livery isnt exactley everyones favorite little engine it was worthy of some shots!

I totally agree with everybody. I used to operate the v1.5 but this version is truly excellent - including Up servicespasssing AI traffic at last.

.....and remember that by buying the CD, you automatically donate £2 to the real Railway!

And, if you're still unsure if you want to buy the route, the animated coaling stage should persuade you.

On it's last day in service before overhaul in 2000, Edward Thomas in seen on a photographers charter. These photos are from the Dolgoch falls area.

The first photo however isn't of TR4.


Skarloey stands at Dolgoch, with a rake of Skarloey Railway Coaches.

Lovely shots! Methinks its last running turn was Feb 9th 2001 to be presisce, and yes it rained all day.
