coach request.

Post by robert159 »

Hi it’s me again (Yes you are aloud to groan.)

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to create me a couple of quickie coaches if they don’t already exist.

Basically I was hopping for something to pull behind

The basic idea is a converted truck of some description, with metal poles supporting a canopy of similar style, height and color to the one on said engine.
Also ideally the buffers would be a similar width apart. Another idea I had was for a guards van version where the second seat back is removed for a break wheel. (for the guard)

If it helps you don’t need to create the file that dictates its speed and stuff. I have a friend that can do that.

I can give the exact RGB values if anyone wants them, (I did the reskins afterall :) ) may even try and have a go myself, but probably not until after hte FfR Fifty weekend, as I'll be over in Minffordd yard playing trains on the Miniature Railway, helping John (Selsig) and Eileen :)

Now then, just let me find my copy of TSM :)

Actually folks, I have decided that I will have a try at producing some four wheeled coaches, after all, I'll need some for my own route when its built. I already have GMax installed so I'll learn how to use that and create a couple of variations  then I might get on to more omplicated things like buildings :)

As posted above though, I won't be able to make a start until next Tuesday (not the one in three days but the one after that) as I'm off to Wales this Tuesday :)

The (basic) idea I have in mind is pictured below (sorry for the poor standard, its just a mock up to show how it should look)

I plan to have it panelled and other (secret) things. But from a quick PSP plan what do people think about the design?

There will be versions with doors and versions with chains across the passenger openings, this is a BASIC picture which does not include all options :)

I've added alot of scenery, as ar as I know, we'llbe making a High-End version and a low-end version, so if your running a super-computer with terraflops worth of power you'll b super happy with V4 Its coming together so be on the look out! :fadein:

I'm just learning GMax at the moment so I'll probably take about a month or two before I'm satisfied :)
