An ideal small prototype woult be the hellingly? mental hospital. It was a standard gauge line - but could easily have been 2'. Transfer freight from the SG to the Hospital - quietly...

Yes please! there was a similar line somewhere in Scotland which transported goods around an explosives factory (I think) therefore there was no risk of steam sparks!
PS don't forget electrical Pier tramways taking luggage and passengers out to liners as another idea!
