I used the latest version of Winzip and it too gave me the file without the underscore. I just renamed it and all was well.

Terrific wagons, by the way Mike.

Regards,

Bob.

Thanks Bob, the next wagon project is the 'B' open, then the 'P' ration wagon... which I think fills the roster.

Does anyone know what the 'G' class looked like - I also have no information about classes I through O - I'm not sure they actually exist... 8)

BTW

Some interesting activities could be written using these locos and wagons but what route do you suggest be used?

The Narrow Gauge & Industrial Modelling Review (bit of a mouthful!) has recently run a series of articles with drawings of the WD wagons, including the workshop and ambulance vans. Let me find out which wagons/issues and get back to you. For back issues see here: http://www.royclink.ndtilda.co.uk/magpg.htm.

Should not the name be "Baguley"? I worked there during holidays..
#And, Garthion, I lived in North and SoutH Wales for several years but don't remember Thion as a word for house!

According to the Welsh Dictionary that I have, it is translated as Enclosure or Large House (Manor or such)
I know that Plas is also a word for manor house but the name Garthplas would not really work now would it? Any way, I'm working it to mean Enclosure therefore Garthion is the Lord of the Enclosure!

I would also suggest Piddington as a route for the activities as it is good!

You may be right... I've seen it spelled different ways and usually get it wrong :(

BTW has anyone noticed the Bazzamation? I'm wondering whether it's worth the effort for future locos...

Narrow Gauge & Industrial Modelling Review: WD Drawings

The following issues have plans (1:32), descriptions and pictures of WD kit:

60. pp154-155 Ambulance van
57. pp2-9 Workshop train pictorial
55. pp266-276 Workshop train - six wagons!
53. pp198-199 'E' and 'F' well wagons
50. pp66-69 'H' bogie tank wagon
48. pp336-337 'A' & 'B' 4 wheel wagons
47. pp289-292 'D' open, wood bogies & frame
46. pp254-256 WD Baldwin 4-6-0T
41. pp22-23 Steel bogie underframe
41. p21 WD Dick, Kerr Petrol-electric
39. pp214-218 'A' open wagon, 'B' & 'C' bogie wagons
39. pp230-231 WD ALCO 2-6-2T

And there are plenty of other NG items, usually historic photos, plans and GA drawings, eg:

60. Guinness Brewery Railway, inc. Geoghegan 0-4-0T
58. Lister diesels types 'R', 'RT' & 'RM3'
56. Baguley 20hp petrol loco
56. Beyer Peacock Tasmanian Government Railways 'K' class Garratt (the first!)
56. Snailbeach District Railway WD Baldwins
54. Nasmyth Wilson 0-6-2T for Egyptian Delta Railway
53. Bagnall 0-4-2T 'Excelsior' Kerry Tramway, Lynton & Barnstaple
52. Duffield Bank Railway parcels van
51. Sharp Stewart 2-8-4T for Bengal Nagpur Railway
49. Corris Railway No.3 0-4-2T (rebuilt as Talyllyn No.3 'Sir Haydn')
44. Hunslet 0-6-4T NWNGR 'Beddgelert'

.. and these are just a selection from more recent issues. The drawings are very good modern ones or sometimes reproductions of original / contemporary plans; the articles informative and well-written. I cannot recommend this magazine too highly - just looking back through the last few years-worth has reminded me of how informative and inspirational it is. Back issues are available from: http://www.royclink.ndtilda.co.uk/magpg.htm.

Sorry Mike, didn't read your amendments to my list you quoted. Will see what I can do this w/e - wrestling with the scanner is not my first choice of leisure activity!
