I know from looking through old topics that there were some people building the railways on the isle of man. Are these routes still being worked on or have they been abandoned?

Heya,
I did begin the IOMR, however ditched it a while ago. Ive still got the work I did on CD somewhere to be resurrected one day. Got the Peel line, ramsey line and 1/2 the MER laid. However no one offered to make the models for it, so it fell by the wayside.
I'd like to redo it one day, if there is still interest in MSTS once ive got WHR done then who knows what might happen. Various people have begun some of the models but nothing has yet been released.
I went over to the Island this summer again for 10 days, and took over 6 films of photos and 4 hours of video footage. All ready to make it again one day...

Thanks for the replies guys. Shame it has been abandoned. I live on the island and would love to see the Peel and ramsey lines, they were ripped up before I was born.
Personally I don't think that MSTS will survive, since microsoft pulled the plug on MSTS2. The program has to many bugs and no support.
Trainz seems most likely to replace it, plenty of support and it is much more user friendly.

Other than on here and several other MSTS sites! Seriously there is lots of life yet in MSTS and I am sure people will continue using it in large numbers at least until the 2nd generation of train sims comes out from TA and TM about a year hence. After that I'm sure a dedicated core will still hang on in there.gg191 wrote:Personally I don't think that MSTS will survive... The program has ... no support.
I won't rise to the bait. Trainz is a different kind of product IMHO and is marketing itself to a different user base. Your mileage may differ and this isn't the place to argue about itgg191 wrote:Trainz seems most likely to replace it, plenty of support and it is much more user friendly.
