Another shot to keep you all going!
This, of the new embankment just past Loxley crossing (seen in the distance). The stone embankment is several hundred meters long and lifts the line above the bogs of Loxley marshes.
More such embankments are planed together with stone cuttings and over-under bridges to try and give the railway a more realistic feel.

Thoughts have also turned on signals, Mike.

Just another little one for you, both turescale (So it'll run on Piddington) and 2X scale so it'll run on bigger lines
Ih yeah, its my reskin of Kevin Martin's excellent Lilla model from the FfR Website
Diolch Yn Fawr,
Dale Williams.
Dale Williams.
Ron,
You could also do a search for my name (Kevin Martin) in the download section. There you should find approx 22 "truescale" patches that, if applied to the respective 2x scaled rolling stock, will give you another 50 items of correctly scaled rolling stock to play with. (roughly 15 locos, 20 coaches and 15 goods wagons).
You will need to have the 2x files installed first before applying the patches. You can get the 2x stock from this site. You can also get the Ffestiniog and Talyllyn 2x scale stock from there respective websites.
Cheers,
Kevin

I think the Rye & Camber engines and rolling stock will work well. Southwold equipment is a tad too wide for the track.purpron wrote:Hi everyone.
I've just installed Piddington LR and some truescale coaches and wagons but all the engines i've got are in full scale. Can you advise as to which engines are the ones to download so that everything is the same scale. I can explore the route properly then as it looks pretty good.

With this thread's sudden activity I decided to check out Piddington and think its a great route with LOTS of update possibilities. Its very small download size had me wondering if it would be a waste of my time, but as the old saying goes, good things indeed come in small packages.
One thing that I would suggest is to properly decorate those areas close to houses and business with scenic extras. Buildings can look so bleak and unrealistic just plopped down by themselves without those details one would expect to see in real life. Leaving Bridgetown is a glaring example. That end of town is screaming for bushes, trees, a barking dog by the side of the road maybe, etc.
A few clumps of trees strategically placed here and there can do much to remove the impression of a moonscape in those areas out of town as well.
Good luck on the next Piddington. What you have now is already very good, especially for its astoundingly small d/l size.
