Superb Route.

The ideal locomotive is Stanhope from http://www.festrail.co.uk - this is a real reservoir site locomotive - hense its name. I've just spent a happy hour potting about with Kevin's RNADs - very nice indeed.

Other locomotives used at reservoir sites looked very similar to TR No.6 "Douglas" - a reskin possablity perharps?

Thanks. As an "expert" could you recommend stock to use with the locos (I have no x2 stock installed on my system).

This is a "must have" route covering the wanderings of my youth!!

Wouldn't call myself an "expert"

Wagon wise, anything you like really, try Mike Wilson's Ruggas, or Terry's Wagons and Skips:

These will need "doubling up" in SFM though...

The readme says that some "generic" activities are included but I can find none. Am I missing something?

Looked forward to the release of this route and not disappointed. however, I seem to have a problem with one of the scenery items. Tree3 appears to have a series of vertical lines around it.

See attached.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm pretty certain that's an alpha channel problem.

Really is an excellent route :D

I couldn't see any included activities, either.

A few more items of rolling stock that might fit in with an industrial (though not necessarally a reservoir route as such) route might be :-

Hi Folks,

Just to clarify the position on the activities - there were a couple included in the distribution that Richard sent us, however without the stock being included in the distribution, having the activities would have caused problems for people. My plan was to get the activities packaged separately but we haven't had a chance to get that sorted yet, they'll be up soon.

Congratulations to Richard, fabulous route :)

Matt.

Well thank you everybody  I'm glad you lke it. Just to clarify the position on the activities. I meant to shove some in the route for folks to modify for themselves - just to give some named start points in "explore route". However, I use a standard naming convention for my stock which is not used widely and so in the end the consists were scrapped fo the moment. Sorry.

Hadn't noticed the tree problem. I shall investigate. Is everyone having it ? Thats very irritatating if so as I thought I had checked all that kind of stuff.

Stock thats suitable - anything without boogies. The WD D trucks etc won't go around the curves esp those out of Low Moor. I am still mucking about with stock physics to get proper narrow gauge weights and responses without much luck to be honest. Frankly I use any stock that takes my fancy - note the comment in the readme that says the R&TWCo inherited the stock from the old railway. Green Light to use anything at all !!! However, prototypically things like Deacauvilles, Baldwins, Hudsons, and Wrens would be fairly typical. The look is designed for 040 style generally but on the ther hand the WD Alco does look rather good as well.

I'm making progress towards an update with better sound files. Some of the gaps under the track in places filled in, perhaps some more buildings in the reservoir area - esp a conextion between the high level spilway and the cement plant which I just couldn't get looking anything right at all. I'm also working on the start of quarry given the success of the roick face.

Keep posting problems...
