Ok, CD's now posted except to Mike Wilson. Australian CD will be going today.

The CD contains the latest version as I just forced myself to stop fiddling about and commit ! There are night and snow textures for most things. It is still very much a work in progress but at least it gives a fairly good idea of how things are going to be and as important how well it runs - so comments gratefully recieved.

The consists are for my stock with changes I made to names etc so they will need editing. I was going to delete them but I forgot. So if you get loading errors that may be why.

I need to email all of the texture authors etc.

Thanks for this chaps - much appreciated.

Had a little play with it.
Awesome, had no problems at all with it so far,and those gradients are far to steep for the little wrens, just like it should be!

thank you kindly sir,

do you think the steepness of some of the curves are a problem ? I can't really get any boggie stock to work on it.

Interestingly, I have played about with the eng files and obtained some values which mean that the wren will go on the steep gradient bu only with 4 or 5 small trucks which feels about right.

Yer,4 or 5 should be right,i can only take the Wren light engine on some gradients!
I think the curves are fine,no bogied stock would generally travel a small line like this?
Though i did use a Double fairlie last night!

Cor I bet that looked good ! I tend to use alot of industrial locos like the deaucavilles and the hunslets.

Have you tried the night textures or the snow yet ? I found I have forgottn to do the coach shed at the waterworks ! sorry.

Hi,

I've had a few blasts up the route, using the hunslets and decauvilles also, and I must say it is brilliant! A pleasure to test!

latest version coming along. all night and winter /seasonal textures done. heck thats one huge job but it does look quite nice.

Also done a sheep market based on the one at Masham. If I remeber I 'll post pics.

I am coming to the conclusion that its pretty much done now aprt from something at the dam top. I was goign to make a quarry there but just can't get anything that looks like a realistic rock face when close up.

I reckon that by Sept at the latest v1 will be ready. I don't really have the resources to distribut it for free and it is pretty large with all of the textures and shapes etc. Whats the preffered mechinism for 80+mb ??

Starting to compile my list of authors to check with. Not a small job either.

Send a CD to Matt (NeutronIC) and he'll to the distribution for you - he will also upload the route for you as well if you ask him.

Look forward to it 8)

Thanks for that. I have now "finished" the route !!! :P There are still things that could be improved and some new ideas but it has end to end scenery from ...

The new cattle market and improved Flaxenby Station

Through and past the new engine workshops at Low Moor Water Treatment Works

to the very end of the line above the dam where they are building the reservoir keepers house in the old quarry

and good grief was I pleased with how the quarry looks.

So all that I need to do is send some emails fro permissions and get it distributable. I reckon another fortnight or so.
