Hi Everyone,

This post is to let you know that there will shortly be an update to the
FRalpha route - FRalpha 2.0. It's mainly a scenery update (of course!).
Kevin and I are just testing at the moment and hope to have it available
for you in the next few weeks.

I'm not entirely sure of the logistics yet; route is ~100MB stand-alone
or ~50MB as a Patch from alpha1.1, I expect that the stand-alone will be
available from the FR on cd with (hopefully) the patch available from an
FR website (but we'll let you know).

So, here are a few Pictures to show you what we've been up to....

Criccieth Castle returns with the evening Train:

Great news, can't wait, by the way, only one screenie seems to be working at the moment Colin, but that single one is enough to whet my apetite!

Ok... Screenies should all be OK now...

13 pictures .... about 40 uploads!!!!!

Spaces don't seem to work in links even though they are accepted as album names for pictures (did I read this somewhere and forget it?), delete doesn't always work as you end up with duplicate entries which then bothe get deleted! Rename seems to work but then is ignoired by the post... Otherwise no bother!

Ah well... (:evilbat:)

I hope so. I'll be on the FR for the first two weeks of August so I was hoping to get it on release before that - though hopefully not imediately before, in case there are any problems..

Great job.................
I assume that the Distant Mountains enhancements are now all installed...

(Should have kept quiet about that until I had the Talyllyn 2 out there  )

Only kidding.....the scenery impact is outstanding and I'm looking forward to running on the line again.

Steve

Wow looking stunning there Colin, a massive step up from the previous version! Cant wait to get this one, and you'll have to share the secret of how you got the x4 scale trains moving, (I presume on normal track underneath the x4 scale scenery track?).

Look forward to seeing this one when it comes out! Well done. :)

I thought it was X2 not X4!
Good Pictures now that they work, I'll definately get a copy when available.

Dale,

The Ffes route is x2 scale: Narrow Gauge stock on SG track.

The standard gauge in the Ffes is thus x4 scale.... its scaled up standard gauge stock and track, running alongside scaled up narrow gauge!

Does anyone else have some of the old PECO model railway catalouges, they had in them, front on drawings of different scales and guages along side one another. Maybe we need something like that for MSTS! :D

I think we tried explaining it all in one of the stickies at the top of the forum, have a browse through them all!
