Technically its still 2x.
Its just that its 2x Standard Gauge, rather than the normal 2x Narrow Gauge

and,They are static models I believe.
The Standard Gauge Trains are moving! As suggested I've re-scaled (x2!) a standard gauge Class 158. It is running on normal narrow-gauge track - as MSTS doesn't require the wheels to meet the track! - but this has been covered over with re-scaled (x2) dumb tracks to give the impression of a standard guage line. Everything on the standard gauge is re-scaled to x2, I don't have anything at x4! The jist of it is I can set up a normal consist of (re-scaled) 158's on the buried normal track in the activity editor and have moving trains as scenery...The standard gauge in the Ffes is thus x4 scale.... its scaled up standard gauge stock and track, running alongside scaled up narrow gauge!
Steve knows how grateful I am for his tip-off and first draft of Distant Mountains, the look of these gave me the motivation to get on with it! Having now contour-traced all the way North to Snowdon and South through the Rhinogs I simply couldn't wait to share it!I assume that the Distant Mountains enhancements are now all installed...
(Should have kept quiet about that until I had the Talyllyn 2 out there )

Is this also true for the Cambrian Coast line at Minffordd?batroost wrote:The Standard Gauge Trains are moving!
No need to apologise! You are quite correct about the previous static model.I apologise, its just that in the first version there was a train there in the same position, so I assumed it was the same.
And its on its way here:)batroost wrote:It's here!
Ok, well the good news is that FRalpha2.0 is now available. If you visit the FR website (http://www.festrail.co.uk/) you'll find a link to some blurb telling you how to get the route.
The gist of it is this:
If you are a previously register downloader of the route (and have a password to prove it) then you can email the FR for a link to download a 50MB patch in order to upgrade from alpha1.1 to alpha2.0.
If you did not register, or need the complete 100MB files then you'll need to get a copy of the CD from the railway for £3 UK, £4 r.o.w - (details on the FR website). The charge is to cover materials and post/packing. Anything left over gets donated to the railway as this is meant to be freeware.
This might seem a bit odd but we had a lot of problems with bandwidth last time around and need to place some practical limits.
Best wishes,
Batroost (:evilbat:)

Anyways...I got the file (after some much needed help)...It seems that I'm missing some .ace files (tree8.ace) or something. I tried using Autumn and Winter and it wouldn't work (I got the same error messages for both though).
I followed the instructions in the Readme to the letter...can someone help me?
