i was wondering if anyone who knows how to create a cab could create a cabless cab view for an Alice class loco. it is after all a popularly downloaded class of loco, and frankly im sick of looking at the inside of the flying scotsman.
not to mention looking out of a window thats well in front of the loco itself.
in case you dont know what an alice class loco is theres a pic of one over hear.

Robert,
I must say a nice Alice cab would go down well. Mind you any Narrow Gauge cab would be a bonus to be honest! However cab creation takes quite a long time, and is rather complex I belive. Ive never tried it myself though...
Id love to see some NG cabs around, even if they arnt true to life, and just have a NG feel to them, as Robert said, it would be better than looking at the Scotsman cab!

even a cartoon graphics one would be good. at least someone like me, or better yet some with acces to a camara and an actual alice cab could apgrade the graphics.
i also figured that if u possition the cab view point correctly on the engine, the existing moddel could do the view from the cab. i.e the funnel, water tank and dome apear through a great big "window". so whichever alice engine you installed it on the paint would be the right colour.

Not particularly appropriate to this thread, but I have some pictures of mountaineer's cab that I took in a long layover at Blaeunau at Easter. If anyone wants them

Blimey that was a long time ago....
I'm afraid the cab was vapourware which I never finished and then later lost...
Interesting looking at that site - pre-FR route days those were... with TR route being about all we had NG wise.

What about Terry's "Wren" cab view... it's not exact, but it's closer than Scotsman...

Having actually driven "Scotsman", I can vouch for the comfort of the Wren's cab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have some 3d software my end. if someone could send me some details, preferably some detailed drawings, I will have a go. shouldnt be too hard to create the 3d part if i have some info. ive already got the hang of basic shapes. its only the msts part of the proces that scares me.
any details will do. rough drawings, measurements anything.
