Which route to download?

Post by chrisj94 »

I would like to ask you all to help me decide which route to download!
8)
I have had my eye on a narrow gauge route for ages but never had one.
I want a route thet captures the fell of a light railway and is not to big on downoad size.
What shall i chose?!! :-?

If you've got Trainz I recommend the Torton Pleasure Railway. It's availible from the Auran DLS I'm not into MSTS much now so I don't know but the Rye and Camber is definately a good 'un...

personally i like rye tramway allot. its a simple but well scenarised route and captures the feal of a narrow guage route nicely. however its a truescale line so you'll need to download Xtrack as well in order to make it work.

if you dont want to install Xtrack then i would suggest either the Talyllyn or the Baxter and Sons Railway.

the talyllne is the first narrow guage line created for msts and to be honist looks like it, but its still good. (looking forward to version 2 when it comes out.)

the B&SR is reasonably well scenarised. it is completely fictional and looks like its falling apart and has industrial places such as a mine and a small dock

The best NG routes I currently have is the Welshpool & Llanfair in truescale or the Talyllyn in 2x scale.

basically the scales are all wrong. the track is x2 scale where all the buildings and everything else is x1 scale. result it aint very good. also i dont like the layout. its like a trainset rather than a railway. i spent ages downloading the damn thing and then i deleated it.

Or if you can wait a few days, get Southwold, it captures the atmosphere of the Suffolk marshes wonderfully and has good activity potential.

Why has this been dredged all the way up to the top of the forum again?
