BTW it is scanned from a RM so needs a bit of adjustment (I'll tell you what in the mail!)

Nooo! Dont rebuild the track data base whatever you do!!!!

All youve got to do is select the objects (hit W to get the route in wireframe view) and then press H and N to raise them to the level of the terrain.

Rebuilding the tdb can cause all sorts of horrid problems and should only be done as a LAST resort once the routes backed up...
