If you consider for a moment how mutch in BT bill's it will cost it is not worth it. When i get broadband i will probaly do a V2 using DEM. So just take a look at the cost's.

Hi
Dont you use a service, ie so much a month, and anyway whats the point of announcing the route if you think that it wont be worth putting any effort in because of the phone bill, and anyway, have you actually workewd out how much it would cost to download the one piece of DEM, and Demex? Its a small download. Does this mean that only a few trees will be on the route to keep the download down? If you are worried about cost, why make the route at all?
I've just worked it out, the DEM file is less than 1 meg, and so is Demex

Bit pointless doing the route if your worried about the cost!
In that case Southwold was as follows:
Branch Line to Southwold refernece book = £14.99
CD's and postage and packing to Oxfordshire= approx £20
Other ods and ends including maps, and other ancillary stuff= £10
TOTAL COST OF ROUTE: £44.99
Plus internet costs, which ive not even considered, but assuming Internet was used soley for Southwold, it would have been over £200.
FRS I would REALLY urge you to use DEM. Everyone does nowadays, and to be honest, the route is going to look appaling without it. For the sake of a 1MB download and an hours work....
If your worried about the cost of the phone bill, how come you spend so long on these forums?

Also FRS - How long do you think it is going to take to upload your route.... Longer than downloading DEMEX I can tell you.

Line was taken over by the Socitey 1954, Reopened 1955. Two anniversaries to celebrate, 50 years from both. I'd be carefull what you say in future - it just make you look silly.jdtech wrote:BTW How can FR50 be this year and next if it's 50 years of FR preservation started in 1964. Next year would be FR51, not worth celebrating, as 50 years is half a century.![]()

HI!
A large update here.
These are some basic track diagram's and picture.

A plan of Beconsall in MSTS.

A main plan of the railway in MSTS.

A Route Editor view of Beconsall.
A siding at Beconsall is not possible to build as is in a akward place. But I spoke to Tim and he said it was no big deal.
Unless I improve a small amont on the Track & Roads that department is finished!
Now come's scenery which I'm think is one of the worst part's if it's not a fictional railway, is hard. And as Tim is doing some of the WHR (big credit to them
) any scenery that look's like the West Lancs scnery is well apriciated. Thank's.
