Unless I'm very mistaken, Joffre is a 0-8-0T, far different to the decauville 0-4-0T.

The West Lancs is reasonably local to me, a very nice little line with a great bunch of people running it.

PS you could also reskin the cabless Hunslet to the green Johnathon,

Montalban and Utrillas are nearly identical, so one shape file could do it for both

Joffre is actually much more like the 0-6-0 Decauvilles I made for the haute Somme route.

He does have a different chimney - I could make it later on... let me know when the route is ready for release...

I'm rather busy at the moment, but I'll have a look through my pics for any that may be of use to you. Ther line is about 20mins away in a car, but i don't have one  . I may cycle over one weekend, took just over an hour last time.................

The line runs down the back of semi detatched houses for much of its length, these could be quiote easily represented by Ian Jenkin's semi detatched houses on UKTS. It is also lined by trees and runs around 3 sides of an old clay pit, which is even more filled in every time I go.

The line does continue a few hundred yards beyond the current terminus, but is overgrown and has not been used apart from stock storage since the 1980s, as it has very sharp curves

oh and don't forget one of these somewhere........

Invalid File ID [1404]

Here are a few pics I have gathered together from over about 8 years.........

Johnathon runs round at Delph, the unused extension can be seen behind the loco

Johnanthan at beconsall again.

As it can be sen once out of the main station, the line is very much enclosed by trees, and the houses and pit can only just be glimpsed throught the trees.

Much of the left hand side going up the line consists of trees, hedges, fences, blocking off the line from people's gardens and the right hand side is a drop down off the ledge the line runs on, to the pit about 20ft below, Ordanance survey Maps and some arial pictures (not too detailed though) at http://www.multimap.com are your best for an idea of the area of the pit and its proximity to the line. The Clay pit is owned by Alty's brickworks, the industrial complex next to the line

An aerial photo from multimap.com
The approximate course of the line has been marked by me one one of the pics for you to see it on the unmarked one

<IMG width="701" height="411" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php ... 0H4102.JPG">

PS if you want more info the line has a website, and Tim Elsby lives in Leyland I think, which is nearer to the line than me........

Happy to help

that first engine here looks kinda like #6 on the Talyllyn. Probably same class...if Kevin made a "pre-Tal conversion" model of Douglas we'd have our man..err..engine  :)

.....oooh but that bucket might trip him up  I think that's the heardest bit of the model right there :D

*edit*
I meant the second loco. Sorry...
