Just found out I will have to pay. I have nothing against this but I don't think I'll bother I'm afraid :( Sorry about this but I don't think I would enjoy it much, not because of the route but because of the actual Sim itself

Terribly sorry,

John, no need to be stingy ;). Its only 2.50 for goodness sake!

Hi

In cse you are having trouble, it is http://www.festrail.co.uk  (no . at the end)

Sounds good, but could some details over what's different from the previous version would come in handy.

Thanks,

Yeah Id like to see what's changed in this version of it.... The original was very very good in it's own right, i'll happily fork out £2.50 if thats all it is.

As far as I understand this is the version that has been on the Ffestiniog for some time (ie the original alpha + patch).

(The cost is purely to cover materials and P&P.)

It pretty much says it in Black and er.... Slightly Yellow Colour...

On the website that the Distribution of the route has been changed to CD due to bandwidth required to serve it.

Think i will wait a bit longer before getting the disc version like ive not run 1.0 for a while er well ages actually...

I believed he wasn't around due to home affairs. I'll email the FR and find out what's going on.

The route available on the Ffestiniog website is still v1.1

Rest assured, that as soon as a new version is released either Colin or myself will let you know.

As everyone on UKTrainsim seems to be getting a little confused over this we have changed the FR Website to read V1.1
The version change was only to signify the change in distribution method.
The change in distribution was brought about by the fact that the web space and bandwidth for the route is NOT part of the FR main site, but on my own webspace.
The route was using over 10 Gb per month of bandwidth, and I’m no longer prepared to fund the £199.00 + vat per year when 99.9% of people who downloaded the route made no effort to actually report any bugs or observations.

So what is the difference between the CD route and Downloadable one (which I have),

has any new scenery been added, is it complete, or is it the same?????????
