WLLR in X2 scale
Hi
will anyone be doing the WLLR route and stock in X2 scale? I am having problems with Xtracks Horace so I can not build routes with it? can someone also do the rest of the stock? Monach is in X2 so that provides a head start.
Cheers
Paul

Why on earth would anybody wish to build the Welshpool?
AGAIN
Most the stock and possibly one of the best narrow gauge routes built so far, for MSTS already exists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys,
Just want to clear a few matters,
The WLLR route is built using XTracks 3ft gauge track sections,
These sections are stored on your MSTS in the Global/Shapes folder.
When you install XTracks all of the extra shapes included in XTracks are copied to this folder.
The latest versions of XTracks also now include Truescale track sections that are supposed to represent 2ft gauge but is in fact 2ft4in.
The use of Horace is totally unnecessary unless you are a route builder whom is updating the TsectionDat file during the building of your route and, I think even then, only if you have used dynamic track!

In that case ....its a brilliant and very scenic route...which I've spent many a happy hour truddling on...thanks Paul.PWHolmes wrote:I will be building more WLLR stock in due course, at the moment I am up my proverbials with other projects and do not have any spare time.

Horace is NOT needed to install and drive the WLLR. A 2x scale route for the WLLR would not work as the only use of 2x scale is to make 4ft 8.5" track look like 2ft 4" track: the WLLR is 3ft gauge.
Just install XTRacks from the file library on this site and install WLLLR and off you go!

I think the problem is that nobody has relesed a textures pack for Xtracks so when you install it if your building a route it brings up lots of erors for textures! Anybody volunteer to make one of these?

Just select thumbnails when selcting the track section, if there isnt a thumbnail then there isnt the section of track present. I have a feeling that if you download all of the x-tracks and finescale components (seem to recall route builders editions and stuff like that) that the errors wont occur.
Its far easier to either download as many addons as you can find, or, just view the sections using the thumbnails selected.

No such thing. The textures come as part of the various track add ons, most of them over at T-S.com, and are 100% useless without the specific add on. And you simply won't need the textures if you are not using those track sections US 3ft and 4ft 8.5" dual gauge or Chicago L train track for example.Frsimplex1993 wrote:It would be nice to have a textures pack!
To get rid of the track section references in the RE Track Sections list that you don't have installed, Route Riter will remove them for you.
