This route will be a short one (only four tiles), built using UKNG Truescale track. It will try to represent the true feel of British narrow gauge, twisting and turning through the rolling hills of the English countryside.
The Piddington Light Railway will be built using all the skills I have learned to date, with the object of an early upload. When I have finished the “P.Lt.Rly.â€

Hi Andrew,
this is a good way to proceed. I had several false starts before getting anything close to releasing a route - and this is the fifth take on RDC/SWLR. I plan to make some more adjustments and finishings to this, before returning to mymagnum opus, the WDLR lines around Vimy. Plus, there's a secret project for the first half of next year...

Well Andrew,
Good luck with it, I hope it works. I hate RE and have vowed never to use it again so as to stop the damage that tends to happen to keyboards and monitors at times of RE inspired frustration.

Thanks for those words Mike, they mean a lot coming from somebody whom has actually (finished) a route.

I tend to have the same problem, thats why i've never actually built a proper route.

The first pieces of track are laid at Piddington, this time the camera is pointing in the opposite direction.

What gauge is that? 3ft?

Paul.
It is 2ft UKNG TrueScale, I am afraid I have confused things a little by using that engine which I have re-scaled to 2ft gauge (I just like it), I will try to show the Wren's or such like in the future.

It did confuse me seeing that.

Well done, I look forward to seeing the progress you make on it. Thinking of first routes, the Quarry system im currently spending some time on, was my very first attempt at building in Route Editor. Suffice to say having gone back to it after Southwold it has needed pretty much gutting and rebuilding!

Below is an interesting idea I had, a map of the line as seen in “AEâ€

A thing to beware is that each track section you place adds to the object count for a tile - and even if you later delete it, the count remains. if you get to the 900 object count - as I have on the Danesend square, for example - odd things happen.

Thanks Mike.
I did not realise that the count did not reduce even after deleating.

Leave the river track.
There are quite a few boats available now.

A shot of the line crossing the river for the first time (it will do this a couple of time’s) but I’m not really sure if the railway would have been able to afford such grand structures. I think might try and change it to a wooden trestle, what do you guy’s think?
