Why do we need all these seperate topics? Can't they be put into the one you already have?

Future topics like this will be deleted.

Or maybe a Lynton & Barsntable forum is in order. Might entertain FRS for a while as well

Absolutely no need whatsoever, as then there'll be demand for a WHR forum, an FR forum etc.

I never suggested a L&B forum, just try to keep a topic Named 'L&B progress' or something, where all the info can go instead of making tonsa new ones ;)

L & B Route

Post by IWCRLY »

The Tarraforming ideally should be carried out before tracklaying starts, this would be best done with DEM data for the initial set up. It could be done afterwards or during the route building but this would probably mean doing the Terrain manually, this is the method I am using in the Isle of Wight route and is VERY time consuming. I am unable to offer actual assistance with your route due to lack of time.
I would like to tackle the L & B myself eventually as a true scale route, probably including the Barnstaple Ilfracombe standard gauge line as well, (yours is I believe X2), but this will only be after my current route is done (ie: years away).
I have most published books on the L&B hence may be able to assist with information on specific aspects as required.

Lucky I didn't waste any time building Chelham Viaduct then... several dozen pallets of virtual red bricks, free to a good home - buyer to remove.
