15in gauge Linda on test.

Post by andrewgadd »

A shot of Kevin’s wonderful 15in gauge model of Linda out in the sand dune’s.
This is one of my many half-started routes; based loosely on the Fairborne railway. Thanks to Kevin, I might now just finish it off. Anybody interested?

hehehehehe... nifty.

Not sure I'd download such a route, however, there seems to be enough to do during the day.

I think this is a project well worthy of finishing, just to show what can be done with MSTS. It would certainly make a talking point at a UKTS show.

Something different, good idea.

15" gauge has been discussed a few times, so there must be some interest.

I've also been working on a 15inch guage route. It uses 1/2size GWR locos (Robin Howell's) rescaled and coaches from the SWLR truscale in a x2 scale Lakeside environment, possibly in N Wales and the same line has a 2FT guage museum and the trains run alongside each other to compare size.

Love to see that route Andrew

so long as everyone is making them to the same scale. wouldnt want engines with no track 2 run them on.

What scale are people using is it 2xscale using ukng track or truescale using actual 15in gauge in MSTS.

i think unless a new track is created the standard definitions of guage to track width wont apply to these kinds of engines. cos for the same width track the engine needs 2 be built 2 a totaly different scale to make the wheels match. so what scale indeed?

I use UKNG in x2 Scale, but normal track can be used in x4 scale.
