New Loco Addition for NWNGR

Post by spontin »

Hi All
Just thought it was time to advise on the forthcoming new locomotive addition from the "virtual Boston Lodge workshops" :D

I have been working for some time to produce a NGG16 Garratt class loco for use on the Welsh Highland part of the route.
The first model that will be released will be #143 and attached are some screenshots of the loco "running in".

More news on release shortly.
Plan is to also release # 87 & 143 in due course.

If it is just a livery change then that would be possible. Plate numbers??

Mostly just a livery change.

Though I was thinking myself of doing a few SAR variants for the NGG16 once 138 and 87 are done.
Probably just a new livery for each, say 143 to SAR/SAS black, 138 ACR red (maybe with number change to 140) and 87 to SAR/SAS green.

That's if you're happy to delegate the task when the time comes Steve. :D

There seems to be a problem in uploading the files to the UKTRAINSIM server so I have removed the download for the moment until I can confirm that the upload is not corrupted.

Apologies for this but will resolve as soon as I can

Well, I believe that first Upload problem has been resolved. Not sure what happened but the files were ok leaving me but got corrupted somewhere.

I have rebuilt and renamed all the upload files and successfully downloaded and unzipped the Install files with no issue.
Hopefully, that will be the same for everyone now.

Just like to say thank you very much for these! Had a run in 138 from Porthmadog to Caernarfon and it was rather enjoyable!

Hi,
I cannot get the boiler in TS, both other parts show up.
When i try to place the 'boiler' i can here that specific sound when you place something on a track, but nothing to see.

Does anyone have a good idea ?

thx

Which ones?
The SAR reskins or the original pack?

If SAR, you need the original pack first and you must follow the instructions exactly as I set them out in the readme for copying the shape files.
