Just a note to let you now that the locomotive Stanhope is now available for downloading from the Ffestiniog Railway website at :-

http://www.festrail.co.uk

This loco will be visiting the Ffestiniog railway for the Interactive II gala over the May bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 3rd May, Sunday 4th May & Monday 5th May 2003.
Details of the Weekends' events, where you can have the chance to take part in the running of the railway, can also be found on the railways website.

As well as a MSTS version, a Trainz version of Stanhope has also been released.

Cheers
Kevin

Stanhope is great!

I was wondering whether Trainz'll get some 2ft 3 gauge track becuase then you could make ET but there wouldn't be any stock

Could I reskin it Stanhope as ET for 2ft?

Hi

I saw on another thread somewhere (that I cannot immediately find now) that this loco was originally named after the village (town) in Weardale that it used to work nearby. As a recent incomer to Co Durham and now working in Wolsingham in Weardale, I now know that the town of Stanhope is pronounced "Stannup". Does anyone know whether this pronunciation was perpetuated?

Not sure if I might get into trouble for bumping such an old thread, but thought I'd let you know that I have uploaded an old MSTS model of Stanhope to UKTS :-

This used to reside on the old Ffestiniog website, until all the models were removed, and it's one of the few of my models that haven't been available since that happened.

I have to point out that the model was made 7 years ago!

Cheers,
Kevin
