Yes .... it was named Pretoria as a celebration of British troops entring Pretoria during the Boar War.

Hope it isn't renamed Baghdad in the the near future.
Cheers

Dolgoch was renamed Pretoria in 1902, which conincided with a repaint.

Many beilieve she ran in maroon at the time, although personally, i think there is more evidence to suggest green. She was named back to Dolgoch in 1913

I did redo her, however as she was almost certainly green, there seemed little point, lining was a little different... but nothing else. Only 2 photos ive ever seen of her as pretoria. Seemed quite a dark green, which never look right in MSTS, or on the engine. Almost as bad as 2's current livery.

Trainmad,

You would need to ask Kevin, I have discussed with him before and decided there was no point, as its the same engine, virtually the same livery just with Pretoria instead of Dolgoch.

Pictures were in one of the many TR books I have, there is a pic of her in the paperback (A4) copy of Railway Adventure, and also a couple in Boyd's excellent Talyllyn book (the big white one)

Trainmad,

In response to your sig block about the return of Edward Thomas. I wouldnt expect her back before the winter! :(

There is a hell of a lot left to do, including some rather major parts like motion, and boiler. With the peak not a million miles away i dont think there will be much time spent on it, between may and september.

At the moment, I have heard she is coming back as ET, as 4 now hasnt been seen in this livery since the 1980's

No.6 is probably going to stay in TtE colours for a few more years
