A Trainz NG Route and a interesting question for Pitley!

Post by jdtech »

Using the Ffestiniog Stock (Thanks Kevin!) and the 2ft Gauge Track from MedwayValleyTrainz I have built a miscullaneous Trainz NG layout.
I have 4 Stations, Loads of Sidings and a Slate Mine. I will be building more to this route! It's being built using UTC and will only be avalible through UKTS and maybe the Auran Site.

I have a number of screenshots to show you:

No. 3 rests in the depot. Pitley, do you think this loco looks anything like No.5 Midlander or No.8 Merseysider?

For the platforms I had to use the spline called "Sidewalk" which I believe is the American word for "Pavement"
I think they give a good NG atmosphere.

Looking good :)

Love the idea of using the pavements as NG platforms, they look just right!

Where's the Midlander/Merseysider/small diesel from?

Cheers

go to http://www.virtualtrainz.com and then to the download station, go to the search box and type in package885 then search
MAKE Sure the drop down box either says KUID or filename and if that doesn't work search for FRR. Make sure you click View Pack to get the whole pack!

You need to search for FRR under Title and under Locomotives!

Thanks, I found it.

I'm downloading a stupid 4KB/s considering I'm on my University's broadband connection that gets up to 700KB/s regularly :(

Cheers

More screenshots! The part of the route that has track is nearly finished, juts some more track and scenery beyond Alpine Loop and I'm ready for some testing/released!

Completion Status

Current Area
All trackwork complete
Scenery virtually complete
Topology 3/4 complete
Texturing 1/2 complete

When it is avalible for download you need to check here for computer requirements to see if it will work, it needs rather a meaty machine!
Now for those shots!

Mary Ann again at the Austrian Station
<IMG width="800" height="600" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... 1/MAMS.JPG">
Mary Ann at the main station
We hava a day off at school so I can get some work on the route done!

Peatling Parva is a village near me. Love that name.

Mines and quarries tended to be named either after the name of the landowner (Earl of Weston Mine), after the company (J D Tech Mining Co Ltd) or given fairly robust, manly names (Temeraire Mine).

Yes I seem to recall that Privet Drive is in Little Whinging.

Good names I'm going to use Dryaw, Peatling Parva, Midsomer Marrow (off Midsomer Murders (Great mysteries and I love it (I'm only 10!))) & I need 1 more name

The quarry is to be called JD Corp. Mining Co.

A little off topic question (A, B, C or D)

What do you think my JD stands for?

A) James Daniel
B) John David
C) John Daniel
D) John Dick
