The Welsh Highland Railway Route

Post by BruceB »

Hello, just a question to see if a WHR route has been started and if its period is in the past/present or future.

With the FR Route Comming along nicely, a WHR Route is the next step.

How big is the route?
Many you could wing it over here and I could take some screenshots.

Just as a thought, some people have voiced the opinion that an old WHR would be good, how hard do you think it would be to convert, I know MSTS RE is a bit of a . at times, but in theory 2 routes could eventually be made. I was just thinking about how Dinas Jct used to look with both gauges there... :-D

What are peoples views on Caernarfon as a passenger terminus? Personally I think it is a little inadequate although considering the space restraints they have done very well... Do people think there will be parelles with The Talyllyn Nant Extension where Aber is the main upper terminus, Aber-Nant oestensiably being there for the walkers. likewise Dinas may well become the upper terminus with the run into Caernarfon for the shoppers??? :-?
