Hello!

I'm new to this scene, and want to ask Kevin a few Question.

Firstly, what have you got coming up?
A list of the projects you've got 'In the works' would be good.
Second, I've just got 3D Canvas and have no-idea how to work it, I would like to model narrow gauge stock, but don't want to do anything your about to do!
Third, Is a NGG16 on your list, because I think this is proably the item I would what the most!

Cheers

I'm not Kevin Martin,

but there's a 3DC loco building tutorial running in the 3D Canvas section. A good starting point would be to download Ian Morgan's excellent tutorials from UKTrainsim or the Amabilis web site.

Cheers

Hi Bruce,

I don't really like to give a list out as it is not always possible to stick to it. At the moment I have on the go :-

The Fr's Welsh Pony, Little Giant and Moelwyn,
Corris no 4 (followed by Edward Thomas and possibly Stanhope)
I started making Snowdon Ranger/ Moel Tryfan a year ago but never seemed to get around to finishing them. So I will have to dig these out.

I think it may well be likely that you will see a NGG16 from me.

Below is a picture of Welsh Pony in the blue livery she sported in the 1930's.

Cheers

An unusual description :)

The bridge is very good as well but it doesn't have "English go home" sprayed on it

Thanks Kevin,

Welsh Pony looks great, and a NWNG Single Fairle would be great!

Thank god Kevin. When will Number 4 be out? It's my favorite TR/Cr engine. It would also look good in that fictional BR black.

Hopefully, Corris no 4 should be out in a couple days. (to be followed a few days later by Edward Thomas)

At the moment most of my efforts are being directed to making things for the Ffest route but Coaches 117/118, Little Giant and Edward Thomas are all in the "works". (no dates). Snowden Ranger will probably be started again as I think my techniques have improved over the last year and it would be better to remake it.

Ohh with Snowdon Ranger, will we also get my favorite WHR engine: Moel Tryfan?

Well actually, it was Moel that I was making. It's just that one just gets more confused as one gets older!

Lol, Excellent, was Gowrie a Single Fairlie aswell? Or was she a Hunslet? And how similar are they to Taliesin?

Gowrie was a single fairlie (built by Hunslet). It was an 0-6-4 and was considerably different in appearance to Taliesin/Moel Tryfan. Tradition has it that it was not particularly successful and it was sold off towards the end of the first World War. It's thought that this was probably the last single fairlie to be built, certainly in this country. (That is, of course, until the Ffestiniog built the new Taliesin)

Gowrie was a single farile but was built to a different desgin by Hunselt.
Talisin, Snowdon Ranger & Moel Tryfan were built at the Vucan Foundary, but Talisin is a 0-4-4 while Snowdon Ranger & Moel Tryfan were 0-6-4s.

For more info the Heirtage Section of http://www.whr.co.uk has a page on Moel Tryfan, Snowdon Ranger and Gowrie.

Hope it helps.
