Coach 116/118 are actually very similar in height, that picture doesn't show it very well though as it has 118 has a sloping roof at the front and rear.
I wouldn't expect you to rebuilt any of your stock. I have matched mine to yours and am just hopefully filling in some of the gaps.
Cheers,
Ben
The problem with plans is that there not always the same size!! I've found this out in the past when comparing the same loco plans drawn by differnt people.
If you draw a line from the top of the side of 116 in the photo (ignoring the roof), across to the top of the right hand coach side then it does look a few inches higher. Agreed 118 has a curved end roof, but I get the impression that 116 could be higher. Possibly Tim would know this.
I'm not worried about the sizes, though, because at the end of the day, it's only a game and if some of the stock doesn't match up in size then it's not really the end of the earth
My comment about rebuilding my stock was very "tongue in cheek", hence the wink icon.
And as Murray has said, your model is really good
Cheers,
Kevin

I'll have a look at the real thing tomorrow and report back. I think they are in the same rake at the moment.

Kevin,
Thanks, that is good to hear from someone like yourself
JFAYI - Coach 116 was actually scaled up to match your stock, the others were scaled down (my mistake in an earlier posting)
And I haven't actually compared them in sim, 116 may be slightly taller. I wouldn't imagine there was a great deal of difference however as 116 was the prototype for 117-121.
Ah well, its only a representation

116 is indeed a couple of inches higher than the Tin Cars and the Carnforths it has a very simalar roof line to the barns e.g. 100 - 107 as they were the backbone of the corridoor stock at the time.
116 is a prototype but only for more coaches like 116 which were never built. The Tin Cars are a very different design.

Having had an operation on my knee yesterday I currently find myself with a lot of time to pass. I have therefore built FR Coach 104 to compliment the other coaches which I built last week.
Features the 1st class compartment which can be found in the real coach. Has a bit of artistic licence, but generally it matches the coach.
Cheers,
Ben
