Why not include other track gauges, like 3'6" (NZ "Standard" gauge).

I suppose as most people on this forum are in the UK and here the Welsh narrow gauge of 2ft or a bit wider dominates the British scene. Personally I have no objection whatsoever to anything in this forum that has wheels closer together than 4ft 8.5ins and runs on rails, wherever it may come from....

There is a lot of scope for new items in Narrow Guage. What has been produced so far is very route specific, and good they are too. But there is plenty of scope to widen the availability, what with locos, rolling stock, stations and other trackside items where the standard guage ones would look ridiculus.

Does anyone know about the NZR "Bb" class 4-8-0? A magnificent machine.

I agree with the question in the topic title, though obviously this is a UK site - does anyone know of any sites dealing with continental European narrow gauge routes? Michael Vone's Albula pass is a phenomenal piece of work, but is based on standard gauge - but the Alps are of course full of interesting n.g. lines.

If anyone's interested, the one project I do know of is the Austrian St. Pölten - Mariazell line, which is 760mm (ca. 2 ft 6) and electrified, and is being built with original track and stock - 'tis also one of my favourite routes anywhere! Check out: http://home.pages.at/mariazellerbahn/
