New Bin release 1.7.071320

Post by emrhd01 »

Hi,

George has been at it again (in the nicest possible way), he's released another Bin version 1.7.071320, but be aware this is not a stable release at the moment.

This time he seems to have eliminated that annoying spinning wheels on Steam locomotives used as Traffic.

Thanks George and keep up the good work, it's much appreciated.

Bob.

How's your memory?

Post by CaptainBazza »

Do the latest patches still manage memory, the initial memory notice doesn't come up anymore?

I may have posted that other thread in the wrong sub-forum!

Hi Bazza,

I don't honestly know the answer to that, all I can say is the activities I have run so far seem to have the same FPS as with 1.7.051922 (stable version).

I for one, am going back to 1.7.051922 due to the drawback that I have used # and AI in consists (slow turning wheels with the new Bin) I have not used 'standard' MSTS locos in Traffic consists (except where supplied in add on packages) as described in the above link which is discussed in depth by Ashley and Bob Latimers.

Well worth a read.

Do you mean the Memory display that comes up before the game loads, if so that was removed ages ago :-?

Has the problem with not being able to release the brakes on certain stock such as GE EMUs been fixed?

Hi

Have you tried pressing the "Z" key to get the EMUs to run?
Only a suggestion to see if this will help.

Best regards

I'm still having a braking problem with my EMU's. I can release the brake but not apply it and still cannot reassign the keys.

Not mad at all to be honest. My RailDriver is the best thing I've bought for Train Simulator.

Unfortunately my HP media center wireless keyboard despite being set for uk, does not assign the ' key properly. When I assign it for steam and diesel the box in keyboard settings is blank but they key works. The problem is that you cant force a change for key settings for electric using the latest MSTS Bin, and there is no way of telling the creator.
Have a look at my pics from UK and Africa.
