bin problem with tank engines

Post by rom11a »

I have noticed a problem that only occurs with tank engines.
If I am running a goods activity that requires dropping off the wagons, the first wagon in the consist cannot be uncoupled. It is almost as if MSTS thinks that the first wagon is a tender, it seems to uncouple but immediately re-attaches itself.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi Steve
You need to download a different 'default.wag'...which gives a different speed coupling range.
Otto's been offering one...and there's a new set available on TS.com today.
I've also found (originally posted by Matt P) by taking about 0.3 off the length of the inertia box, works for most stock.
Without altering the actual couplings.
Cheers
Jon

Thanks for that Otto's default.wag seems to have done the trick.
It still seems strange that the problem only occurred with a tank engine, but what the hell - thats MSTS for you.
