Bristol-Birmngham The Tuffley Loop

Post by casperdog »

Hi,
Thanks for the positive comments of the route from my last video.

Go to this link for my latest video: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/6535435/16965080
This video is a 5 min approx starting at the Docks Branch, going through Tuffley Junc, using the Goods avoiding line at Eastgate and ending upon the Barnwood Reception Line. A stop at a red signal at the Goods Junc to allow a couple of WR trains through delays progress.

A bit stuttery as Gloucester basically sits on 1 tile and to try to get the inner city effect the tile limit is pushed hard. Using BIN Started at 2000 objects/1000kb but shapes kept disapearing, so now i'm down to about 1650objects/800kb and it seems stable. Usually FPS is about 10 but FRAPs seems to take a few more off :(

I've expanded the screen shots on fotopic http://clivesgallery.fotopic.net up to Gloucester if anyone is interested in looking.

Next week (Sunday is my 'playing' day) thought i may look at the branches and post a bit more. In the meantime the route and TSM keeps me away from this bxxxxx rain.
Cheers, Clive

Hi thanks Martin and kieran for the compliments.
Yes, that fotbridge is there and a bit longer than the original at 300metre+ :) . Had to move Glos Central north a bit to get it off the Eastgate tile. The bridge is very imaginary as i just couln't find a decent photo of the original . Not really on the route but Glos Central has 600metre platforms so a bit of a long walk if you're in the wrong coach and need a connection. :(
Busy making new buildings to chuck into the mix for the run into Birmingham but still hope to finish the route by March.
Cheers,Clive
