Hmmm, there seems to be some confusion about whether Pro Train 6 is Lübeck- Puttengarden or Frankfurt-Nürnberg. The Blue Sky website does not number either of them, but the Lübeck one is due out this month, so I guess you mean that one.

There is a map on the Blue Sky website, amongst the screenshots, showing lines from Lübeck to Puttgarden, Kiel, Büchen and/or Travemünde. So quite a good mileage in total.

According to the Aerosoft website (http://www.aerosoft.com) Protrain 5 is Berlin-Dresden; Protrain 6 is Puttgarden-Lubeck (or Vogelfluglinie) and so I can assume that Protrain 7 will be Frankfurt-Nurnberg.

Quite looking forward to PT7 in that case. Would be more interested in the other two but I gather from the information on the Pro Train website that PT5 & 6 will be period add-ons, which don't really appeal to me as much as modern stuff. Might change my mind tho if some modern activities come out for it. PT6 would be great for running a DSB IC3 on its way from Hamburg to Copenhagen :)

Having just travelled yesterday on an EC from Berlin to Dresden I can't imagine why anyone would want to model this.

It is utterly flat, there are no major towns on the route, and the top speed of the train could not be more than 120 Km ph.

The hook of this route is it's an "Ostalgie" addon, i.e. set in East Germany before the reunification. I presume it was DR's number one route, so I guess that's why they chose it. Not sure if I'll be getting this one myself, though.

ProTrain 6

I like this route, looks good for me, yes it is flat, yes it has speed restriction, but for the first time all trains look good, locos are great, cars are more detailed than before (DSB cars have strange roofs but I'm not an expert). Overall I hope that this is their best route but I need more time to check its quality. Most of their routes have good quality, but they aren't perfect, trains used to be awful.
Kind regards

I received Pro Train 6 today, have just installed it, looks quite a reasonable add-on. Quite a few activities, decent weather effects etc. I purchased it from amazon.de and it came reasonably quickly.
Cheers

This Add-On takes us back in the 1980ies and leads from Luebeck via Oldenburg to ferry station Puttgarden on Fehmarn. On the section from Luebeck to Puttgarden, railway friends can enjoy multiple shunting possibilities. Furthermore, in the ferry station of Puttgarden you will have the opportunity to unload the incoming train ferries and assemble new ferry loads. Another highlight is the harbor of Luebeck and the site route to Travemuende. The route section from Kiel via Luebeck to Buechen through the "ostholsteinische" Lake District is one of the most scenic train routes in Germany.

Available roll material: V 220, BR 218, BR 515, BR 221, VT 613, BR 798, BR 265 as well as locomotives of the DSB.
Many different freight an passenger wagons offer a large variety of train assemblies.

Sounds very good this does. Will have to buy more of the German mainline packs, as I'm getting bored of waiting for more UK mainline route packages to be available - the last one being London-Brighton 15 months ago!

Anyway, does sound very good this one. Looking forward to driving those superb looking diesel loco's!
