Hi Guys

As I said earlier, the web site itself was down when I found it this morning. The Error message suggested server problems. Maybe the download thing is a Glitch, or maybe they've been withdrawn.

As the "better half" is at her Spanish evening classes right now I'll try and get her to translate some stuff when she's in a good mood (a rare event when it comes to train sims   )

I've found the files on disc so if you're desperate I can pm them.

I'll check out the read me's but often any contact detail on old stuff is way out of date.

Any Fluent Spanish speakers looking in I'll gladly forward the files to you to see if you can establish contact.

The webmaster for the site is registering for these forums so he can let you all know what's happening, I gather he is in the process of upgrading it and things will gradually return to normal.

Hi Matt,

Having registered on the site I'm now getting regular e-mails about updates. My "Spanglish" together with BabelFish have enabled me to establish that the downloads are now working and that some decent new stuff has been added.

Pop on over guys, and don't be put off by the lingo. It's pretty obvious what to click even if you "no hablo espanol..."

Perhaps my favourite Euro "Cousin", so yeah I'm biased, and a mystery to me why the don't teach the language in many schools today....!

Probably the most widely spoken language after English....... and we don't teach it :-?

Geoff.

PS

BabelFish is a "translation" programme. Just like OCR you paste a passage into it, select what language you have input and what you want it translated into and it, sort of does it. The FREE site is limited to length of passage but does work. Just like OCR software you have to use your own edits to make it make sense.

There are a few translation options on the net...

The two I have most commonly used are:

http://babelfish.altavista.com

and if you go to http://www.google.com and click on 'Language Tools' you can get a very similar function.
