Exhaust smoke
Is there any way to make a class 40 have 4 exhaust holes where smoke comes out of then all
Please help
Please help
As MSTS stands it's only possible to have two exhausts for a diesel loco. You can't fool MSTS into accepting more.
I've tried a dummy loco for 10000; it has four exhausts but plays havoc with other things - like the speed predictor.
Really must finish 10000, I haven't done any modelling for ages.
regards
Richard Osborne

Hi
The quick answer is no.
However Ian MacMillan designed the "Clag Loco"...which is an invisible engine...with no power but exhaust for this purpose.
You would need to move the exhausts to suit.
Cheers
Jon

The clagmaker is an invisible steam loco coupled behind the train loco to give white clag from the train loco's exhaust.
You could use the same idea the give an extra couple of smoke plumes.
Can't remember actually noticing 4 plumes from a forty tho and I've spent a good many hours choking in the guards van behind them.
Are you sure they were all used?

Yes there were /are four exhausts....fantastic V 16cyl beast....four napier turbos...four exhausts
It was first suggested by the author of 10000,10001 but these have not appeared yet.
10201,10202 and 10203 should be the same too.
Maybe I should do one....if you don't mind Ian.?
Cheers

Blimey, it that smoke output for real? How absolutely, and wonderfully, environmentally incorrect, heh heh.
Oh, common, confess, it's a really a steamer? Surely?
It's probably breaking half a dozen EU regs?
