Railwaves Enhanced Track Audio
Just wondering if anyone who installed to superb Railwaves ETA, has managed to add the "point" (Crossover) sounds? Apparently you have to use the Route Editor... Can someone expand details on how I may add these additional sounds?
You would use the yellow sound region triggers in the same manner as for a bridge or tunnel. I suspect not many people (myself included) have done this in routes for distribution as there's no "default" MTS point sounds so unless you can guarantee the recipient has Railwaves installed running the route would generate error messages about missing sounds on reaching the points.
So it's really something you would have to set up yourself in RE for whichever route you fancy.

The best way is trial and error - just don't save it until you're sure.
Load up the route in RE.
The track sounds can be found in Sound Regions.
Select points (or whatever it's called, as I haven't actually done this). Position the cursor on the track where you want the sound to start (for points this will be just before the red node bar). The arrow part of the yellow flag should point in the direction you want the sound to play. If you need to "flip" the direction, select the arrow tip then the move tool and click the other side of the flag. This works best looking side on.
Next step is to select the Default Sound Region and place this where you want the point sound to terminate. You will then need to do this in the opposite direction for points and default.
Some element of trial and error is required to get it right - if you load the route and the point sounds continue to play after the junction you have not returned the default track correctly.
Also, where you have adjacent tracks, the Sound Region will span more than one so if only one of the tracks has oints you will end up with the sound playing on plain line.
