Location Event Messages

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Location Event Messages

Post by abirm873 »

Hi there Folks
I am creating a new activity for the Cambrian Coast Route which has some location events simulating guards announcements detailing late running trains and how long we are expected to be waiting at a station.
I was just wondering if there is a way to set the location event to appear at a certain time as when i was testing the activity, the location event appeared on the down run when i had set it to appear to appear on the up run at the other platform.
Any help appreciated
Cheers Ashley :D

It sounds as if the down line was included inside the Location Event circle perimeter. Positioning this circle is critical so make sure only the up line runs through it.

Ashley,

To expand on dee4141's post, if you right click on the location event and select properties, you will see Radius at the top of the window. You need to reduce this so that the circle on the route display in the AE does not cover the adjoining line (I imagine setting it to 1 the minimum value would be easiest).

Cheers

Another method is to use a counter to ensure the message only triggers once.
