The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!
I recently had to reload MSTS.........and now find.....in activity editor.....can,t access ......"take other route"........
HELP........someone.........please!!
Occasionally the registry values for AE get corrupt, and menus disappear etc.
Searching on "the other side" I have come across a suggestion to delete the AE_Normal_View value, presumably from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\1.0\HWRenderer]
I haven't done this myself, so I suggest you export that branch first at least; and better still back up the whole registry before proceding (scanreg in win98, system restore - create backup in ME or XP)
Yeah....did that funky...........no change.......funny I have lost all my road traffic too.......not that I like them that much........prefer to drive trains
Any other suggestions........short of downloading msts again.......
you lose road traffic if you turn down the world objects density in the graphics options, have you been tweaking things ? have you changed video card or drivers ?
Hi ALAN..........haven,t tweaked a thing.........wouldn,t know how.......
Only thing I did was download route riter........couldn,t get it to work.......and deleted it........had the problem since then......
So you've tried the registry tweaks - you've tried reinstalling?
Next step is to uninstall - go into regedit and remove any remaining entries, then reinstall. And try the activity editor before installing any third-party stock, route or add-on.
Which route's have you tried to use the Take other Exit feature, I lost it after install, but upon one try after about 10-25 attempts I tried a selection of Different point's and got it to work again.
I do not know what happened or what solved it. That was on my old computer, A PII 400, 128Mb Ram, It may have been the speed.

Why does DOS never Say Excelent Command or filename ?!!?!??
To Err is human, computers output the errors at higher speed.
