Explore Route - Changes ???

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Explore Route - Changes ???

Post by davep »

I like to explore routes, my favourite at the moment being GNER East Coast. This can be explored from: Kings Cross to York; Grantham to Peterborough, and Hadley Wood to Kings Cross. But I'd like to start from other places and I was wondering if the Explore Route could be altered to start from other places to save me driving miles from one of the 3 starting points to get to where I actually want to start from.

You would, I believe, have to go into the Activity Editor and create paths, which, when MSTS is started, would be available in the 'Explore Route' mode.

You would have to create a path, The Start location name is the name you will select in TS, the end location name is where it will say the path end's, but in explore route you can go anywhere.

However, be aware that points are still not set in explore mode.

The start point from the path is used, but that is it - all points point straight-on.

Try explore on the tokyo route - from the first place you end up in a siding if you doint change the points.
