The Tara Explorer

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Have added a bit of traffic to part 1, it is almost complete.

Once my East Anglian activity is done I will have a go at doing these acts as I want to release them as a set rather than as individual activities.

And don't worry about bumping the thread, as I said in on of my other ones; the more I see interest the more likely they will get completed.

Been out photographing recently so I've not touched MSTS since I finished my 40145 activity.

With some luck I'll get down to it on Tuesday, as there is obviously some interest.

I'm hoping to release Parts 1-4 separately now.

Then late one all four parts will be released as a package, and updated to version 2.0 (which will include a headboard).

Thought I would have a go at doing a headboard to see it it was worth it and I managed to make two, so these will be released with Version 2.0.

Here they are:

Slight change to Parts 1 & 4;
Both activities will now consist of only 2 locos double-heading, rather than 3 triple-heading, due to the distance of signalling at Connolly.

Part 1 is now 074 + 084
Part 4 is now 111 + 113

I had problems with Part 1 earlier, this delayed it's completion, however traffic has been added now, final testing is the last step.

Part 1 is now complete!

However I need 1 person (preferably with MSN so I can send you the file easily) to test the activity before I upload, if you wish to volunteer please PM me.

You only require Enterprise North & South, all stock is on these CDs.

I thought I'd let everyone know what's going on.

Chester025 has kindly volunteered to test the activity, (and I hope he doesn't mind me saying this) but he has informed me that he is getting the dreaded "train.exe needs to the close" window at the beginning of the activity whilst shunting around at Connolly. Now I've tested the activity myself and had no problems at all, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong?

I've done a bit of editing and tested the activity again and still no problem so I've uploaded it now, hopefully is there was a problem with the activity and not with the memory or something on Chester025's PC then the problem will have been solved, if anyone is having the same problem please tell me.

You've been waiting long enough, and I want to move onto Part 2...

As I said above, anyone who completes the activity please let me know if how you get on, then I'll know whether anything needed editing...

Plus, for those wondering "Headboard in Version 2.0, what's all this about?"
Well, Version 2.0 will make use out of the forthcoming Enterprise stock pack from Making Tracks, incorporating the 141s/181s instead of the second pair of 071s and will include the headboard to enhance the driving experience...

Why are you trying to start an argument? I thought we'd settled the fact that I wasn't even talking about your activity.

Part 3 nearing completion...

I was thinking this activity would be easiest because it wasn't as long as the others but I've just found out the hard way that it isn't because of the beginning where I have to manoeuvre my way across to the other side of Belfast Central station...
