How do I load activities into MSTS

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

ooh - what bit don't you know??

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go here http://www.howintheworld.com/routecontrol.shtml

Get the free version of Route Control and be prepared to wonder how you would ever have managed without it!!

The function you NEED is enabled in the free version so dont worry - you can shell out the cash later when you realise they deserve it

Now - pick an activity you like the sound of - may i suggest lmsexpress_mindownload.zip available from here to run on the standard Settle & Carlisle Route that comes with MSTS (route otherwise known as Europe1)

When you have it - double click on it - and confirm the overwriting or installing to europe1 route - if nothing happens, dont panic - get TSUN bug fix; also available from here. Run that and try double click the activity again.

Now, if you got the activity installed - run route control - click on the button 'MANAGE' - then click on 'CHECKUP' - make sure both 'id problems/gen report' AND 'view report' selection boxes are checked.

Click OK and wait for it to do its magic. Now depending what it reports as bwoke/missing/wronglynamed - you can fix the problem and get it working.

Reply here as and when you need more help

Hope it helped :)

Best Regards All
