invisible trains!!

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Reset the registry settings which will have become corrupted. It happens all too frequently!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft Games/Train Simulator/1.0/HWRenderer

is the path you must follow.

In the right hand window delete all the keys beginning with AE; they will be regenerated correctly later, when you open AE.

Hi,
I am quite new to this website, but know train sim well. I have just started making activities, but I can't change the points. A similar problem has occurred to someone else, and the posted solution was the registry seting. I would like to know how to do what you say, but can't because I am not I computer whizz  , please help!

Assuming you are running Windows XP:

Got to the start command and pick run
In the run box type Regedit and hit enter
When the regedit screen opens use the dropdown menu to locate the "find" function and search for HWRenderer (as stated above)
Once you've found that registry key, delete all those starting AE - DO NOT delete anything else.
Close the regedit screen, reboot the pc, run the activity editor again.

All should be well :)

Finally found the solution for a problem I could solve only by reinstalling MSTS. Thanks. Heiko

Ive tried the regentry method, and still cannot see the trains in the activity editor. I run a windows vista, would that be an issue? and how can I fix it as i cant seem to make any activities work now. Plus all the AE reg entries have not returned in the regedit, even though i hve rebooted the computer. Heeeeeeeeelp :D

Hi
You can use this registry repairer

http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/msts-downl ... pairer.zip

Looks like you may have taken too many lines out.... in future you can use this.

Nope works fine in Vista as the registry entries are the same.
Plus all the AE reg entries have not returned in the regedit, even though i hve rebooted the computer.
Did you make sure you ONLY deleted those keys starting AE? If youve deleted any others that might be the reason. Try the fixes Jon posted above.
