I don't think that this was in the plan!

That didn't happen to me - I think I was a bit earlier, and speeded on the single track section, as the Readme suggested.

Alan

Please have a look at my railway photograph site - http://alan-lewis-chambers.fotopic.net/ - lots of British steam and early diesels

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Ran it again and was almost two minutes earlier entering the single-track section but still had the same problem.

Hi
You'll both get had up for speeding  you must be super fast shunters
You should get a red when about to enter the single track, signal clears 12:12. The AI train starts at Wombourne so should get the road first, so I can't understand why he didn't get held at Wombourne when you passed the signal onto the single line, he would have to pass 2 signals from his start position  Didn't have this problem testing it, will have to get some better testers

I doubt it Don. Remember MSTS works THREE signals ahead.
These super shunters will just have to SLOW DOWN in the shunt movements.

Don,

Can you help on this?

I've been fine with the single line section mentioned above and enjoying the activity so far (Thanks), but I am experiencing problems when loading the activity (In the Setting up simulation loading section) I am receiving an sms error several times whilst loading as follows:

sms error : In read stream

File C:\Program File\Microsoft games\Train Simulator\Train\Trainset\Common.sound\SteamSoundsOrgUK\#GWR-Manor-66-100-11.sms

Line 197

I am only getting this error with this one activity, all other CC5 activities ran fine before loading this activity and they seem to do so now.

By accepting the errors the activity continues to load and seems to run OK ( I have only got to Oxley so far ), I have run it through RouteRiter and the activity comes through as clear of errors.

Any Ideas.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Bob

Yes I too had that message, but it didn't seem to be noticed in the activity running. It would appear to be an AI train that uses this sound line but I'm blowed if I could find which loco is belongs to and couldn't find any obvious fault in line 197. Saying that I expect someone more knowledgable than me might be able to offer an explaination
I think the super shunters  above maybe arriving at the entrance to the single line as the AI train is being spawned, thus causing the problem

Cheers

That # .sms file is used by the # versions of the BR_exGWR_Moguls_green.

The problem is, I think, in line 128 where it specifies 45 triggers when should be 47.

Line 197 is the end of that statement and therefore causes an error message because it thinks it has too many triggers.

I changed the 45 in line 128 to 47 and the problem went away.

Sorry Guys got called away last night but thanks for your speedy replies, much appreciated.

Firstly, Thanks Bob L (you've helped me out on numerous occasions), as you said by altering the line in 66-100-11.sms to 47 does the trick and the activity now loads/runs fine. How do you guys know these things?

Secondly, Thanks to Don for your reply, although you could not solve the problem at least it would have put my mind at rest.

Enjoying the activity and have now reached Bilston, with a top up required.

Just a minor point Don if you ever have to change the write-up, the siding stated at Oxley to leave the wagons should read 3 not 4 as the first siding is the through siding, although its obvious when number 4 doesn't exist.

All the best guys,

Bob

Since writing the above, I am having problems leaving Patent steelworks, if I leave before the Passenger train has passed (I timed at 13:34) I get a permanent red signal just before Swan Village Station and if I leave after the Passenger has passed I get a permanent Red signal at Wednesbury Central Station.

I am completing the shunting at the steelworks by approx 13:32 is it that I am running too late or has anyone else had this?
(Perhaps it's because I'm too slow a shunter).

I'd really like to complete this very good freight activity.

Hi Bob

You're going the wrong way thats why you'll be getting the reds  I did say in the readme to check the points as you leave  They should be set so you go back to Bilston along the slow line, thus / ,and if you're leaving as the passenger train goes past you're right on time :)

David , I know I said to push along a bit but I didn't think anyone would beat that red un at the end of Gornal platform  Took 6 attempts to get that right as well, I must be a little slow at shunting myself

Glad you all seem to like it

Thanks for answering so quickly Don,

I wasn't sure which way I was supposed to go (I don't know the Cannock area as you can guess, DOH ! trying to go in the wrong direction), only the indicator in the write up is showing \ not /.

Perhaps you will change this along with the siding number at Oxley when it's convenient, as I'm sure some others will be confused.

Thanks for your help and keep up the good work, very appreciated.

Cheers Bob.

Addendum: Completed the Activity, its amazing what happens when you go the right way. Really enjoyed it, I think you said there may be a Part 2. Can't wait, love the GWR sounds, probably the best steam sounds around I think.
