Thames -> Mersey - Out of ideas!

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Thames -> Mersey - Out of ideas!

Post by coolcalz13 »

Recently thought of making a special activity to release with my TM01 (Watford Stopper) however I ran out of ideas or more likely can't decide what to do!

So I am happy to take suggestions or requests for an activity of your choice! Just a note, I would rather make an activity at the Liverpool and Manchester end than near London, or wouldn't mind the midlands e.g Rugby + Northampton.

Preferably an activity that hasn't been done before, but like I said any suggestions welcome!

Cheers

There are lots of little used lines on Thames Mersey off the main Liverpool / London run. How about something from Kirby or New Brighton to Southport. What i did for my London Theatre Excursion trip was to browse around the whole map and try and use rare lines. there is absolutely tons of scope for more unusual runs.

Even though i don't have the route I will when the new Version 4 comes out. A journey from West Kirby around the loop and then New Brighton!
Modern activity using 507/8's.

Thanks

Liverpool docks to Rugeley, or Fiddlers Ferry modern image coal train? Now do-able with MSTS bin.

Cheers for the ideas guys!

May think about a long railtour and maybe a few services using the small rarely used lines. I also like the coal train idea, may consider that as a possibility :-?

Excellent suggestions, and I am grateful.

TM includes the Merseyrail Birkenhead/Liverpool layout circa 1977, just after the new loop and link lines had been completed, although the rest of the layout is most definitely 1950's to 1960's with Liverpool Riverside, Birkenhead Woodside, Liverpool Docks and Birkenhead Docks all in place.

So does that mean there are tunnels like the present or no tunnels and just stations. Would be interesting haven't seen Merseyrail Underground modelled before.

The tunnels are all there, but default MSTS tunnels. The stations are based on a freeware model from a Swedish route as I recall, so don't expect to see the brown plastic efforts that they have on Merseyrail.
