I just uploaded an activity that runs from Caterham to London Bridge and then to Bromley North.
You need msts bin 1.6.

Any comment would be nice.

Hi there
Have installed your activity and seems to work fine.
A couple of questions:-
Should you be able to have a front cab view when connected at Purley?
Does the cab view change when reversing.
Have MSTSbin installed and activity runs fine.
So far am just arriving at East Croydon.

Liked the AI trains whilst waiting at Purley.

Its a good activity so far

Kind Regards

Manty :D

I have downloaded and installed all the stock as requested in the readme, but trainstore comes up with the following message.
Warning: - Item No. 1
The following Consist will cause a problem if selected in MSTS because the leading locomotive .ENG file has no cabview
Locomotive Name: (** No CabView **)
Folder: 'TRAINS\CONSISTS'
File: 'BR #6558 to depot.con'
Desc: ''

Error: - Item No. 2
The following File was not found
File: 'MT_IJ_6566_D6558_blue\AI_D6558.ENG'

Any idea where I can download it from.

Hi Terry
I was missing the D6558 so I swapped it with another Class33 MTIJ6505 variant using Activity Analysis.

Activity ran OK until after Norwood Junction, after being overtaken by a Thumper Unit which eventually stopped at the next station we then overtook it and passed under the flyover to Crystal Palace. A Parcels Train came the other way headed by a Class33 on the next track and promptly then derailed. Tried this a couple of times still to no avail.
Up to this point the activity had been excellent.
Seems it might be a bounding box problem, but don't know if its the loco or a wagon

Anyone any idea's

Regards
Manty :-?

Sorry Terry I made a mistake. I did swap D6558 for another which I believed was D6595 but now I am more confused as I cannot locate it at this time, as I have reinstalled the activity.
Afraid its getting late so will have another look tomorrow
My apologies if I misled you.

Wonder if my derailing problem is because I swapped the Class33 ??

Its ok Manty, thannks for the advice, but im not going to mess arround changing stock as in my opinion the read me says only 4 downloads required.

B/G Brighton Belle Unit 3051 - 10895
LUL D78 Original Stock train - 11882
MKI Coaches Blue Grey livery LSE1.2 - 11612
TEA Slurry Wagon - 13851

So if it comes up with missing stock and its not available to download then the author should fix it.

If the activity was not a new activity and the required stock was not available, then that would be ok, but as its a new act all the stock to run the activity should be available to download.

Hi Manty

I had the same problem passing the parcels train.

It seems to be a bounding box problem, with the wagon npv_newspaper\npvnews.

Once corrected, I reached London Bridge with no problems, then the sim crashed whilst waiting at London Bridge, so will have to try again.

I was not able to change cabs at Purley. Not yet tried at London Bridge.

Still a most enjoyable activity, so far.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike
Thanks for the bounding box info (there's hope for me yet I thought the box was the problem but didn't knowwhere to look).
Will make the changes (when I remeber what to do) and run it through again.
Its a good activity as you say

Hi again Mike,
Would you be kind enough to point me in the right direction for changing the bounding box. I did it a few weeks ago but have lost the info :-? .
Had a search through the forum's but cannot find it.
Also could you tell me what you changed the width of the npv to.
This time I will write it down
Kind Regards
Manty :)

It's just bugging me, but where would the - LUL D78 Original Stock train - 11882 - be running around? Or at they loco-hauled in this act, ie transfer?

Hi

I would say The Underground trains are used for the short stretches of the East London Line around New Cross and New Cross Gate, but not having downloaded the activity i can only assume this using local knowledge

Hi Manty

I used the Bounding Box Editor which you can download from the main UKTS page under Tweaks Utilities and Improvements.

You can also do it manually by opening the npvnews.sd file and altering it in wordpad.

Mine ended up like this

shape ( npvnews.s
ESD_Detail_Level ( 0 )
ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 0 )
ESD_Bounding_Box ( -1.3 0.2 -8.5 1.3 3.1 8.5 )
)

Hope this helps

Hi Mike
Many Thanks it has worked
Rerun the activity and so far am heading for New Cross Gate.
Past the parcels train OK

With refence to the swapping cabs - I found this note in the forum's from Otto - solves the problem for me and I could change cabs at Caterham and at Purley (after connecting)
Note from Otto
When you want to switch to the cab of another loco in a consist you open the F9 window and then click on the loco you want to switch to so that it gets a yellow frame.

Pressing the #1 key in the numbers row over the QWERTY keys will then transfer you to it's cab !

Hope this helps - and many Thanks Otto it has solved ariddle for me

Regards

Manty

PS I hope it was OK to copy and paste the note from another forum item?

Hi Manty

Thanks for the cab swapping info - works a treat.

I am still experiencing a crash whilst waiting at London Bridge. Maybe there is too much going on for full sound and graphics.

I would be interested to know whether you, and others have had the same problem.

I must say the AI in this activity is awesome, especially approaching London Bridge.
