Hi,
I know it is impossible to automatically uncouple AI consists in the sim, but someone I think a long time ago found it was possible to have an AI loco reverse onto some stock and take it away again, can anyone find the the thread/ give me more info please?

I think you have to be very precise with the positioning of the stock and what speed the AI is doing. I beleve that it's rarther difficult.

Hi Adam
David Johnson is an expert at this.
About two years ago whilst I was testing one of David's Activities for Thaxted I managed to couple up to an A1 train and this got David thinking.
David has produced many Activities with this very good feature noting that after you have coupled up to the A1 train you cannot re-start from a save in the the Activity.

This crops up quite regularly...it is possiable to make an AI train couple up to the player train, done it a few times myself. However if you make an AI train couple to some static consists, the AI train will stop. I also tried making some wagons with zero coupling strength so that an AI train could fly shunt them, but it just ended the activity when the coupling broke. Dunno if a future BIN patch will change this, would be nice if it could.
