What do you think?

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

What do you think?

Post by GlennMitchell »

Can anyone that has downloaded my "train failure" or "transpennine express via doncaster" activies (files below) tell me what they think of them. If it was good, if it was absolutely rubbish, that kind of thing. Also any way I can improve future activities.
Many thanks

Hi Glen, had a problem with the activity Transpennine Express via Doncaster first time see this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... ht=#693618

But that was my fault for going to slow, but the second time of trying completed it with no problems and enjoyed it very much.

Still to run the Train Failure its on my list of activites to do, should run it later today, and will get back you to let you know what I thought of it.

Terry,
Did the HST crash into you? I worked andd worked with that, I got it working eventually. I wondered what had happened the first time! I had to put the timing of that train back by about a minute, but it obviously didn't work.
Thanks for downlaoding!

I like your activities but the first one did take me a couple of goes before the HST stopped crashing into me. Perhaps in any future ones you could make them so the player train is not at such a risk?

Other than that I would be very happy if you made more activities.

Finaly got to run your train failure activty :D it was very good but I arrived at York 14 mins late :(

I think one of the reasons why I was so late was because I kept within the max speed that the loco can do, but will give it another run when I can to see if I can arrive on time.

Your other act the Hst only collided with me on the 1st time I run the act, but I think that was my fault for going to slow.

Keep up the good work and look forward to any future activities from you.

I'm currently working on an activity for Dorset Coast V3. It might be a while. The AE keeps stopping when calculating AI timetables!

I would not let the AE calculate the times. It is far better to run the activity and then manually enter the times. The instructions on how to do that are in a number of threads on these forums.

Kindest regards

I dont really know. I think I must have seen the models on UKTS, and thought that I already had them. Things like this always get past me! Sorry if it is an inconvenience!
